Alexandre Calder

Alexander Calder (1898–1976) is celebrated worldwide for his monumental mobiles and stabiles — but his graphic work is equally inventive. Bold shapes, primary colors, and a sense of playful movement define his poster art, much of it produced in collaboration with the Ateliers Mourlot. The original posters in this collection bring the energy of Calder's sculpture onto paper.
